United Way’s Graphic Design internship provides an enriching work experience with a leading nonprofit in Dane County. It is an opportunity to build your design portfolio and resume while learning from professionals with strong backgrounds in design and marketing. The Graphic Design Intern will assist in the concept and design of various marketing materials that promote our Agenda for Change and maintain United Way’s brand standards. These include, but are not limited to: brochures, fliers, posters, signs, display boards, billboards, t-shirts, web pages, pledge forms and other materials as needed.
The internship is unpaid, but can be completed for college credit.
A background in graphic design, a high standard of excellence, great attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, independence, and academic or hands-on experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Required: Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Preferred: Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel
