JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be part of the accounting department and will coordinate and perform non-supervisory responsibilities related to the day-to-day Companies operations around Receivables; reporting to the General Ledger Supervisor.

Requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and reconcile current customer account balances, including resolving billing and payment issues with customers, sending monthly customer statements and receiving and applying payments
  • Communication with company locations, customers, and credit card processors to resolve billing and payment issues and concerns
  • Reconcile credit card batches, contract payments, and checks received; including application of payments and deposits to banking institutions
  • Weekly review of AR Aging(s) for collections procedures – create summary reports monthly (minimum) for management, and follow up on resolution of overdue account balances
  • Enter fuel invoices into the system as needed
  • Reconcile fuel inventory to invoicing, resolving differences through research and communication with customer service representatives
  • Track and maintain changes to customer fuel and rent agreements, including notification, calculation and billing of increases (CPI), and update of space control listing and ongoing communication with FBO location on such
  • Maintain and report on monthly rental income summary
  • Monthly month-end close activities – including reconciliation of Undeposited Cash account and related point-of-sale (POS) close activities
  • Serve as backup of Captains Club Reward funding program
  • Serve as subject matter expert on aviation software and point of contact for location questions, updates, and month-end close activities
  • Assist and support local operations 
  • Assist, support, and serve as back-up to team member in other A/R desk function
  • Other duties, analysis, and ad-hoc projects as needed or assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting is preferred
  • 2-3 years of Accounts Receivable and customer service experience minimum

Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 Annual, commensurate experience
