Quality Assurance Coordinator
Description

  

Purpose: To conduct, document, summarize and present internal monitoring and audits as necessary to ensure the quality of services provided to the individuals supported by AIM Services, while adhering to the mission of the agency. To assist the Compliance Officer with quality assurance by conducting program and compliance audits for the agency.


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS preferred, CPA certification considered
  • (3) years of experience working with people with ID/DD preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulations including, but not limited to NYCRR 14 Part 624, 625, 633, 635 and quality assurance practices.
  • Knowledge of Office of the Medicaid Inspector General Compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate both critical thinking skills and reliability in decision making.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well developed team skills, unquestioned integrity, and the experience, confidence and presence to effectively handle sensitive issues.
  • Valid NYS Drivers License acceptable to Agency Insurance standards. Maintain valid insurance and provide insurance card if you use your own vehicle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Choices, Therap, and web-based platforms.

Requirements

  

Physical/Cognitive:

  • Sitting and/or computer use for extended periods of time.

Quality Assurance Essential Functions:

  • Assist with completion of program audits for the entire agency.
  • Familiarity with waiver programs, including Service Coordination (DOH), Employment Services, Family Supports and Services, Respite, Community Habilitation, Day Habilitation, and Residential
  • Familiarity with the Self Direction program, including broker services, fiscal intermediary services, bookkeeping, payroll and billing.
  • Assist with completion of compliance audits.
  • Participate in the Corporate Compliance Committee and all other committees as assigned.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulations and assist with ensuring agency compliance.
  • Accurately interpret policies, procedures and regulations as applicable. 

Other Duties:

  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Attend professional meetings and trainings as requested.
  • Committee membership as assigned.
  • Any and all other duties as requested by the Compliance Officer or designee.
Salary Description
$23.00- $25.50
