Description
This Carpenter role will work closely with Project Managers on a variety of work in the field, including field measuring and support installation. Ideal candidates will have some level of past experience with general carpentry and will be reliable, hardworking and dedicated toward the success of each project. The projects worked on our for Multi-family customers. This is an excellent role for someone with prior property management or maintenance experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install cabinets and countertops on job sites
- Complete punch list tasks such as replacement cabinet doors, handles, etc.
- Work on carpentry tasks independently including use of power tools
- Review and be familiar with the scope of work and overall project goals
- Measure kitchens for cabinet dimension and may complete basic shop drawings in 2020
- Draw countertop specs for manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to use power tools and always perform work in a safe manner
- Keen accuracy for details including field measurements to the 1/16
- Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills
- Able to take direction and work independently
- High level of professionalism to be able to interact with customers via in person and phone
- Focus on high level of customer service and able to resolve job issues in the field
- Ability to assess problems, find root cause and resolve to customer satisfaction
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and superior organizational skills essential
- Willingness to be flexible, taking on both challenging and non-challenging tasks
- Able to use Microsoft programs for work tasks including Outlook, Excel, Word
Education and Experience
- 3 years carpentry or woodworking experience
- Experience with basic carpentry hand and power tools in a safe manner
- Intermediate knowledge of cabinetry and countertop installation
Physical Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean RMV
- Able speak, read, and comprehend English. Bi-lingual preferred
- Able to carry and move tools and materials needed for job completion (up to 75+ lbs. independently)
- Able to walk, stoop, climb, reach, lift regularly as a daily task
- May be required to climb heights over 6’
- Employee will regularly be exposed to construction materials and visit construction sites.
