Title: CONSTRUCTION MANAGER III

Department: Construction Inspection

Reports to: Construction Manager I

Education: High school diploma

Registration: None Required

Experience: Entry level position, two years construction related experience preferred

Certifications:

Working Towards passing all INDOT Certified Technician tests

Working towards obtaining all INDOT IAS written and side-by-side proficiency testing

Actively working to become competent in Site Manager

Have a plan to complete all the training classes prescribed by the Department Manager

Duties: 

Able to inspect projects under direct supervision 

Able to work with multiple Project Managers and Contractors

Responsible for providing quality control for materials delivered to the jobsite 

Able to maintain a journal and complete all daily field inspection reports on time 

Able to perform detailed calculations and accurately quantify daily pay quantities 

Able to calibrate and maintain testing equipment 

Able to assist with completing a Final Construction Record

Willing to be trained and mentored

Skills: 

Must possess good interpersonal skills 

Must possess good communication skills 

Must possess good organizational skills  

Physical Requirements:

Able to work seated or standing 8 or more hours per day 

Able to work 40 hours or more per work week, as needed 

Able to work outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions while negotiating uneven or difficult terrain 

Able to travel throughout Indiana including overnight stays 

Other Requirements: Possess a valid Indiana driver’s license
