Overall Responsibility:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager with a strong knowledge of Credit Union Financial Statements, NCUA regulations and reporting requirements. Responsible for defining a new suite of analytical solutions that will alleviate credit unions’ efforts in meeting reporting requirements to comply with NCUA regulations and continued improvements of our Current Expected Credit Loss Solution. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in credit union finance, accounting, and NCUA data analysis who is motivated to be challenged by leading cross-functional teams to drive a product from conception all the way through to its launch.
Essential Functions:
- Build a strategic vision, goals & roadmap for Trellance’s regulatory analytics products and manage backlog based on customer needs, regulatory requirement, competitive analysis, and market opportunities.
- Drive discovery with clients to ensure understanding of the regulatory and financial reporting required to comply with NCUA regulations and reporting requirements such as the 5300 Call Report.
- Research and define customer requirements and translate those needs into features in an agile development environment. Prioritize product features based on these definitions to ensure the Trellance regulatory analytics for credit unions delivers solutions to these problems.
- Oversight of Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) solution and continuous improvement of the model to meet industry needs.
- Stay up to date with the latest NCUA regulations and reporting requirements and ensure compliant solutions for credit unions.
- Define minimum viable product and balance trade-offs between time, effort, investment, and value dimensions.
- Lead cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams, to bring new products and features to market.
- Collaborate with delivery teams including development, user experience, business analysts, and scrum masters to ensure that products meet the desired market need.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales organizations across the enterprise to clearly communicate product benefits and competitive differentiation.
- Lead go-to-market activities to ensure that new products and features are successfully launched and supported across the organization.
- Work with product leadership and finance to build the product business case as well as customer pricing.
- Build rapport and relationships with clients and collect feedback to improve Trellance’s products and market position.
- Monitor competitive offerings in the market and drive differentiated value proposition for Trellance products.
- Build trust and effective relationships with peers and provide leadership across the division, product, and/or partner ecosystem.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting or a related field.
Company / Industry Knowledge:
Prior experience in credit union or financial services industries is a requirement.
Other Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in credit union finance, accounting, and NCUA data analysis.
- Working knowledge of Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong knowledge of NCUA regulations and direct involvement in the development of financial reports such as the 5300 Call Report for credit unions.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with complex financial and operational data.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Experience with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with enterprise software or products designed for credit unions is a plus.
- Experience with FinTech is a plus.
