The Alderbrook Resort & Spa Summer Internship Program offers students and aspiring industry professionals the opportunity to gain real-world experience at our unique property. Located approximately two hours west of Seattle and north of Portland, Alderbrook Resort & Spa is nestled on 88 picturesque acres of Washington’s scenic and serene Hood Canal. The position begins in June and ends in September (specific days subject to academic schedule).

WE'LL TEACH YOU

• Communication leadership management
• Social media strategy & execution, CRM & digital communication tools, print media management
• Public relations management, interaction, and media tours
• Beginning graphic design and brand management

WHAT YOU'LL FOCUS ON

• Work with the Marketing Manager to create content for the resort, Union City Market, and feedthecanal social media platforms, and schedule this content into the resort software, Sprout Social
• Update Alderbrook and Union City Market websites
• Keep company listings current, aesthetically pleasing, on brand, accurate, and up to date on all online platforms
• Update monthly guest experience brochure based on information and requisition provided
• Attend weekly Marketing meetings with DOSM (Director of Sales and Marketing), Marketing Manager and Creative Director
• Assist Creative Director and DOSM as needed

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Creative and flexible outside-the-box thinker with a passion for marketing and communication
• Current student or recent graduate of a 4-year college/university
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
