H2 Health is seeking a full-time Assistant Controller to work at our corporate office in Riverside, Jacksonville, and help support our accounting department.

Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in healthcare and will help support our operations by ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

Education: Masters Degree in accounting or CPA required

Experience: 3-4 years of general accounting experience; public accounting experience is required


  • Masters Degree or CPA required
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, re-formatting data and Speedy Movement 
  • Raintree, Clinic Source, and Sage Intact software knowledge are a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in a public accounting firm
  • Experience with Journal Entries
  • Knowledge of Financial Statements
  • Able to create reconciliations timely
  • Excellent communication
  • Experienced accounting for multiple locations
  • Knowledge of Accrual accounting and monthly closing procedures
  • Employed or knowledge in Healthcare industry is preferred 
  • Journal entry knowledge and the impacts to financial statements 

Job Duties:

  • Analyze data and summarize for leadership
  • Support the Revenue and Bookings reporting process
  • Support journal entry and financial reporting across multiple business units
  • Support Controller with month-end and year-end close process.
  • Maintain and coordinate finance deliverables, projects, and tasks
  • Support payroll, HR, and other business administrative functions
  • Research and apply new accounting pronouncements
  • Complete tasks in fast moving environment with time restraints
  • Able to provide Supporting accounting records for yearend audit and tax requests

Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (availability to work remotely on Fridays)

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time
