Description
SUMMARY
The Outreach Director will further the mission of Roundup River Ranch through the strategic development and management of intentional outreach programming strategy. This position works in collaboration with the Director of Operations, Camp Director and Development team to maximize resources and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand our high quality, outcome-based programming.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and direct strategies for all aspects of outreach program growth, development and facilitation that reflect the mission, vision, and values of Roundup River Ranch.
- Responsible for compliance and best practice on all levels with State of Colorado requirements, SeriousFun Children’s Network Safety Standards, and American Camp Association accreditation standards.
- Oversee the development and implementation of proven strategies and programs that supports emotional, social, and behavioral needs of campers aged 7 – 17 and their families, including the unique medical needs, necessary adaptations and modifications, and challenge with choice principles.
- Develop and manage the outreach budgets.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, management and support of full time and seasonal staff supporting outreach programs. Supervise volunteers in these areas.
- Lead the development of intentional and safe outreach programming including the development of procedures and policies.
- Lead the development of creative outreach programs including program development, content, and materials while working closely with partner organizations and ensuring coordination with the Camp Director.
- Work closely with the Camp Director to ensure all Roundup River Ranch programs align to support year-round intentional opportunities for campers and their families.
- Facilitate programs and activities online, at the campsite, and offsite locations
- Coordinate with other departments as needed including the marketing and development on promotional materials, branded supplies, videos, fundraising, etc.
- Partner with the Director of Operations to ensure the coordination of partnerships and fundraising opportunities.
- Coordinate with the admissions department on volunteer and camper recruitment.
- Serve as an ambassador for Roundup River Ranch at development, community, and recruitment events.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all aspects of role, including all medical information and records.
- In coordination with the Director of Operations, coordinate research, evaluation, and feedback in outreach programs.

Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must be comfortable using computers, pre-recording content and video editing, utilizing databases, branding documents, and more
- Ability to quickly prioritize and work within deadlines
- Well-developed, strong writing and content development skills
- Demonstrates the Guideposts in all aspects of work
- Interest and ability to partner and collaborate with others
- Ability to problem solve and think creatively, strong collaboration and team building skills required
- Proven organization and administrative abilities
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year degree and/or equivalent work experience
- Certification in related field (education, child life, recreational therapy, etc)
- Minimum of five years supervisory, management, and organizational leadership experience
- Computer proficiency and practical experience in word processing, database and internet navigation
