Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and perform the monthly and year end accounting close processes
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and perform necessary adjustments
- Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial audit
- Handle all Sales tax & other tax related filings and inquiries
- Oversight of check, wire, and ACH payments
- Prepare all payroll related journal entries
- Assist and Mentor accounting department personnel
- Ensure continual compliance with all federal and state regulations/requirements
- Analyze and report on cost center budget variances
- Manage standard costing process including material overhead and labor rate calculations
Other Duties:
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and complete ad-hoc projects as requested by Management
- Provide input regarding continuous improvement
- Create documentation of business processes
- Support accounting team with daily work as needed
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration
- MBA preferred but not required
- 10 years’ experience in an Accounting/Finance role, preferably in a Manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite and strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP software strongly preferred
- Understanding of Managerial/Cost Accounting
