Provides safe, quality patient care in the Operating Room area. Provides care and support to patients before, during and after surgery. Assists the surgeon and the surgical team in their tasks.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Provides safe, quality patient care in the Operating Room area. Provides care and support to patients before, during and after surgery. Assists the surgeon and the surgical team in their tasks.
- Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
- Serves as the communication liaison to family and members of the operating team
- Prepares operating room for procedure
- Assists in positioning and responding to comfort / safety of the patient
- Provides for accurate care and handling of specimens
Qualifications:
1. Maintains current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
2. Maintains Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification for Health Care Providers
3. One year of operating room experience required
4. Two years of operating room experience preferred
5. Specialty CN OR certification preferred
