The Finance Director plays a critical role in the strategic leadership team for the Americas region.
Position Summary
Industrial Physics is seeking a change-minded Director of Finance, HR, and Administration for the Americas region. The Americas region generates over $50M in annual revenue supported by over 150 total employees. The region is forecast to scale to $100M+ by end of 2024. The finance leader will be a business partner of the America’s President to provide insights into the financial and operating performance of the business and is expected to drive continuous improvement in all accounting, financial and human resource operations across the region. The Finance Director will lead an accounting, finance, and HR team of 6 located across two sites, one in New Castle, Delaware and one in the Louisville Kentucky area, plus manage an outsourced IT firm. The director position reports to the America’s President and the Global CFO of Industrial Physics.
Core responsibilities include day-to-day financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, cash management, budgeting, payroll and HR, and IT.? It is critical that candidates have demonstrated success in a manufacturing company delivering products and services globally and in integrating systems or acquisitions.?
Key Responsibilities:?
· Preparing and analyzing financial data and other key performance metrics to deliver accurate reporting, forecasting, and trend analysis.
· Support the Americas President and other senior leaders of the region in making planning and strategy decisions.
· This position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement across the organization and providing support for optimization of related operational and process efficiencies.
· Develop and execute forward-looking, predictive, and activity-based Key Performance Indicators and models of business initiatives to ensure that profit and budget targets are met or exceeded including but not limited to maximizing revenue, improving margins, and ensuring tight control of operating expenses.
· Assess existing organization processes and structures and implementing improvements throughout the finance, accounting, HR, and IT functions.
· Manage finance-related functions such as annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash management, working capital management, inventory, costs, accounting systems, payroll, pricing analysis, margin analysis, accrual accounting.
· Manage a team of 6 professionals including an Assistant Controller, and 4 finance clerks/accountings supporting AP, AR, and general accounting and HR.
· Establish effective working capital management practices and corresponding KPIs to maximize cash generation and reduce working capital.
· Manage outsource providers for HR & IT.
· Manage the operational, financial and tax audit process and liaise with external auditors as needed.
· Perform ad hoc analyses including building financial models related to strategic projects, M&A and analyzing potential growth
opportunities, etc.?

· Strong understanding of US GAAP accrual accounting and cost accounting in a manufacturing business.
· Advanced proficiency with ERP Systems such as Syteline, 123 Insight, and other similar ERPs.
· Must be a strong team player with strong financial modeling skills using tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, integrated FP&A tools such as Planful, Power BI, etc.
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.??
· 10+ years of progressively responsible Finance experience within an OEM manufacturing environment.
· Experience in Private equity-backed companies are a plus.
