Job Summary

ARG’s mission is to protect clients from obsolescence by providing IT clarity and advising our clients about technology changes.

The Technology Advisor will manage an assigned base of ARG clients through transformational Technology Decisions/Evaluations using ARG’s patented technology evaluation process to transition from older technology to new solutions.


Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate sales of technology-related products, services, and expertise to an assigned client base
  • Meet clients in person, via Zoom, or by phone to provide evaluation, options, and guidance on the client’s technology needs
  • Advise tech leaders on technical evaluations, industry best practices, and current ARG-managed inventory
  • Coordinate account management, and renewal, while leading the sales process for accounts less than $5k, and collaborating on sales greater than $5k with a Senior Advisor
  • Communicate with inactive accounts to drive increased engagement and sales by leveraging ARG’s extensive package of technology offerings 
  • Eclipse renewal target monthly and quarterly goals via renewal or extension and expansion of contracts 
  • Serve as the primary conduit to all ARG support resources by leading all account meeting preparation for existing services, including contract dates, inventory, and QBR details
  • Maintain and ensure 100% accuracy of salesforce inventory, CEDs, and renewal activities
  • Report daily on all open pricing requests, ensuring pricing is being escalated and completed within defined SLAs and certify pricing is given to the team as available for all services

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Basic Sales Skills/Acumen Preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • College Education Preferred
  • 5+ years of Professional Experience

Physical Job Requirements (with/ without reasonable accommodations)

  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) all of the time
  • This position operates machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists (ex: typing) all of the time
  • This position requires the ability to spend all of the time viewing computer monitors 
  • This position requires the ability to spend significant time in communication either on the phone or via virtual meetings

Travel Requirements

  • This position commutes between HQ and client offices 25 – 50% of the time within a day
  • This position requires overnight domestic travel less than 25% of the time
  • Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train
  • Required to attend all in-person corporate meetings (quarterly all-staff gatherings for example) as defined by the company
