JOB SUMMARY
As Accounts Payable Analyst you will be responsible for the accuracy of vendor invoices & payments, the approval process, the AP file maintenance, and the timeliness of the general ledger posting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage full cycle A/P
- Manage account statements and other discrepancies regarding account payments and serve as a liaison between departments and vendors in the resolution of administrative problems and inquiries
- Manage communication process regarding invoices, inquiries, and discrepancies, and payment status with internal and external correspondents
- Maintain an accurate Accounts Payable aging that agrees to the General Ledger at the end of each month
- Review and process all vendor bills- suppliers (3 way match)
- Ensure that all bills are entered on time with proper GL Accts, classifications, and descriptions
- Apply all vendor payments post bank transmission and forward remittances to Vendors
- Liaise with Operations Team to investigate purchase price variances
- Ensure that all vendor invoices are appropriately approved prior to payment according to established company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate A/P Aging report and prepare weekly/monthly commentary on all overdue balances (60+ days)
- Prepare weekly payment requirement report with all supporting documents for manager's review
- Ensure all Vendors bank details are verified and correct prior to the payment transmission
- Assist with ADHOC projects
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in full cycle AP
- B.A. preferably in Accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced in Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
