JOB SUMMARY
The role of Network Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining new and existing networks and infrastructure. The selected candidate will be a member of our core engineering team with opportunities for career advancement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Attend webinars and conferences.
- Configure and Deploy SD-WAN devices and access layer switches.
- Configure and implement Microsoft Teams VOIP Phone system.
- Determine ‘bottleneck’ areas in the current Networks and suggest solutions.
- Determine deficiencies using diagnostic tools.
- Determine issues with business internet connectivity, WAN technologies, remote access, and VPN configuration.
- Document systems, processes, and procedures.
- Enter, track and close all client transactions using the ticketing and purchasing system.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Maintain and improve existing networks.
- Maintain privacy of all client data.
- Participate in security management.
- Procure network hardware and replacement devices.
- Provide superior Customer Service.
- Stay up to date with latest technology and developments.
- Suggest new ideas and solutions to problems.
- Track shipments and warranty service requests.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Demonstrate techniques while cross- training other employees on various applications and hardware.
- Suggest and oversee improvement processes.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - 4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or a related role.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field.
- Cisco Certification highly desirable
- Ability to diagnose issues and identify solutions
- Ability to multitask & prioritize effectively

- Experience in routing and switching with industry standards (Cisco, Velo, Meraki, Sonic Wall, FortiGate, etc.)

- Experience with SD-WAN solutions

- Strong understanding of networking and application-level operations.
