JOB OVERVIEW
The Summer Youth Program Counselor assists with the general needs of the children in the Summer Youth Program. Additionally, the Counselor assists professional instructors with implementing instructional drills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / KEY JOB OUTCOMES
- Assist with daily set up and clean-up of the tennis courts.
- Assist with student check-ins.
- Assist in the care for children both on and off the court, ensuring that children are safe and well-supervised.
- Assist professional instructors with instructional drills as needed.
Performs other job-related duties and functions as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work is normally performed in the field which subjects the employee to various external elements including potentially adverse weather conditions. Work involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident/injury and requires following basic safety precautions. Work involves frequent exposure to challenging elements such as extreme dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, chemicals, etc.
- Requires standing for extended periods of time; stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or crawling; use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills, and use of a desktop, laptop, or video display terminal.
- Requires minor physical exertion - lifting, pushing, and carrying, etc. up to 25 lbs.
- Requires communicating information with co-workers, stakeholders and/or the public; reading basic documents and/or following verbal instructions and filling in forms.
