The Opportunity
Partner is looking for a hospital administrator to help support the growth and development of our new Richmond hospital. The ideal candidate will work alongside the medical director to strengthen daily hospital operations between departments and team members to support the mission and values at Partner.

Role Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Leadership
- Develop and build hospital teams
- Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members incorporating our vision, mission, and core values into everyday work
- Promote inclusion, respect, and equity in our diverse environment
- Due to the amount of team and client communication, identify self and community care supports and/or routines and utilize them as needed to maintain role engagement
Collaboration
- Regularly assess hospital workflows to ensure that they are efficient and effective in delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding client service
- Work in collaboration with CMO’s to ensure effective documentation and deployment of medical services
- Schedule and lead monthly team meetings, and additional individual team meetings
- Exercise flexibility in work schedule to maintain a presence for team members who work asynchronous shifts
- Build and maintain referring veterinarian relationships and satisfaction with our services
- Initiate recruitment with human resources of approved requisitions and oversee recruitment, interview, and hiring for open team member positions
- In collaboration with the human resources, schedule and participate in timely development team member reviews
Financial
- In conjunction with CEO’s, budget, and expense management, oversee financial health and goals for the hospital
- Exercise sound judgement when resolving financial concerns with pet families and gauge when special financial agreements are appropriate
- Minimum 5 years’ managerial experience in veterinary, human hospital, or animal advocacy organization
- Or veterinary experience with managerial experience within or outside the required professions listed above
- Experience managing large multi-unit teams of 10 or more team members
- Knowledge of veterinary workflows and procedures
- Degree in related science or business administration field
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) designation preferred but not required
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance
