ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
As a Billing Specialist, you’re the person who stays connected with our internal and external contacts to make sure our commercial billing activities are accurate and timely while also staying on top of job costs and contracts. It’s a unique individual who brings together a love of numbers and excellent customer service skills!
A typical day as a Billing Specialist might look like: Signing into your computer and getting to work on your daily and weekly tasks, reviewing new commercial contracts and insurance certificates to make sure they’re accurate, applying orders to a job, and invoicing and closing projects. Since teamwork is important at Nonn’s, you may be asked to help out with delivery sheets, labor bills, or collection of commercial receivables. Among all this, you might receive a phone call or email where you need to jump into action immediately and help out our team or the customer. We’ll look to you as the reliable team member who everyone appreciates can get them an answer efficiently and accurately!

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is seeking to build their skills beyond initial work experience in an accounting or administrative position. If you have 1-2 years in a billing role, that’s ideal! We will train you on our computer applications, but you will need to bring your best skills when it comes to communicating across teams and working with our customers.
