The Damage Control Firefighting Contractor Instructor will provide instruction in Firefighting and Damage Control courses in support of Surface Warfare Schools Command San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:
Support SWSC providing instruction, operation, testing, remediation, curriculum support (includes updates and maintenance of curriculum), administration, safety, and management support services for formalized naval training. Supplement instructional services, to include remediation, and management support to support firefighting, engineering, and other related subjects as directed by Navy Educational Training Command (NETC), the Training Support Centers (TSCs), Training Support Detachments (TSDs), and SWSC Engineering Learning Sites.
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience as a firefighter
- Experience as an instructor
- Ability to pass medical screening
Desired:
- Navy Damage Controlman (CPO preferred) or Engineering Department Leader (EN, GS, EM, etc., CPO preferred).
- 9502 Basic Instructor NEC or ATG experience
- Shipboard firefighting experience
- Current Basic EMT qualification, or higher
Clearance:
Must successfully pass a background check.
