Our business is growing, and we are seeking a dynamic clinical medical physicist to join our team supporting Roseburg Community Cancer Center in Roseburg, OR. Surrounded by mountains, rivers, and waterfalls, Roseburg is a nature lover’s dream location, offering an abundance of outdoor recreation like mountain biking, hiking and skiing. With a quaint downtown life filled with charming shops and locally owned restaurants, Roseburg is considered the Umpqua Valley’s best kept secret!
Facility Equipment
The facility has one vault with a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator. Treatment modalities include IMRT, VMAT, SBRT and HDR using RT planning system Eclipse and R&V system Mosaiq. You will be joining a team of 2 Radiation Oncologists, 2 Medical Dosimetrists and 5 Radiation Therapist.
Requirements and Qualifications:
This solo clinical medical physics position requires an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in medical physics, radiological physics or related field and completion of a residency program in clinical medical physics or two years of post-graduation experience. This position demands excellent communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork. The safety and efficiency of our program is built on open and full communication and active participation in the decision-making process. Demonstrated ability to work independently and experience on the above-listed technologies available at Roseburg Community Cancer Center is a plus. Certification in therapeutic radiological physics by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics is not required but strongly preferred.
