About this role:
The Speech Therapist, per physician orders and the administrative direction and supervision of Management, plans, develops, implements, and oversees treatment through a variety of therapeutic procedures and activities, as well as the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment, with the intent of maximizing functional potential and safety for the patient.
- Master’s degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- 3 years’ experience preferred, a minimum of 2 years’ experience with geriatrics required.
- Additional experience with pediatrics is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Ability to use equipment with visual and auditory mechanisms.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of participants.
- Ability to manage stress.
- Ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements (including, but not limited to, lifting participants and/or equipment, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling) of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 in bodily injury coverage.
- Team members will be expected to comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.
