Position Summary:
Overview of the Internship Program
PKF Mueller offers students the opportunity to kick start their professional careers by joining our unique internship program. Interns in the program are responsible for utilizing their educational knowledge and experience to perform numerous accounting related responsibilities, while exploring the fields of Tax or Audit.
Our interns will gain first-hand experience working side-by-side with professionals from all levels of the firm as they develop the skills to become a trusted business advisor for clients and associates in tax and audit. Interns will work as an individual contributor and as part of a team to support client engagements and will gain exposure to a variety of clients and industries ranging from small businesses to large corporations. We also expect our interns to develop administrative, professional, and interpersonal skills to the extent of being able to organize, analyze, and communicate with others in a productive and efficient manner.
Our internship program is different from many in the fact that we treat all of our interns as associates. We value the knowledge our interns bring to the table as well as look forward to mentoring them along the way. The internship program is considered full time, 40+ hours per week and includes some benefits. For those interns who successfully complete a challenging busy season experience, an invitation to return or a full-time position may be offered.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Junior status or above with a tax and/or audit class completed prior to internship.
- No more than 2 classes during the time of the internship (not including credits earned for internship) and those classes must be after normal business hours (8am-5pm).
- Have a strong personal identification with PKF Mueller’s firm values.
- Possess a valid drivers license or have reliable transportation to perform the job requirements.
