Our business is growing, and we are seeking an experienced physicist to join our growing practice group as part of the radiation oncology team supporting a comprehensive cancer center located in Fort Smith, AR. This position is for a progressive, hands-on MS degree physicist with a successful track record in project management and clinical operations. Responsibilities include all aspects of clinical radiation oncology physics, quality assurance, and verifying the accuracy of treatment planning. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential; as well as interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment. 


Requirements

  

The facility has one vault with a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator.  Using RT planning system Eclipse and R&V system Aria. 


Requirements and Qualifications:

This solo clinical medical physics position requires an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in medical physics, radiological physics or related field and completion of a residency program in clinical medical physics or two years of post-graduation experience. This position demands excellent communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork. The safety and efficiency of our program is built on open and full communication and active participation in the decision-making process. Demonstrated ability to work independently and experience on the above-listed technologies is a plus. Certification in therapeutic radiological physics by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics is not required but strongly preferred.
