POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Location includes greenhouse and warehouse structures and office space.

Reports to General Manager

We are seeking a full-time Greenhouse Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for our North Lake County greenhouse growing facilities. The position will require an individual with extensive Horticultural and Greenhouse facilities maintenance experience. The position will ensure the facilities are kept to optimal operation conditions and to ensure proper live good conditions are met and employee safety is observed

Job Duties:

• Conducts routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and upkeep to greenhouse and warehouse facilities
• Works in conjunction with Site Management to identify issues, future projects, and operation efficiencies which can be made to facilities at multiple locations.
• Assists in the development of future new construction facilities design and improvement.
• Sources parts and materials, in conjunction with purchasing, to complete all projects
• Searches for competitive prices and terms on sourced material for projects and maintenance
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area for employees

Facilities Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experienced with Greenhouse Facilities, structures, and systems
• Horticulture and growing background preferred
• General electrical, carpentry, plumbing, building construction and maintenance experience
• Heating Systems – installation and service and repair of greenhouse boilers and heaters
• Ability to pay attention to the smallest details
• Desire for growth in a fast-paced organization
• Bilingual a plus
