Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Events & Activities Coordinator will work closely with the Events and Activities Manager to drive organization and execution of Granby Ranch activities for guests of all ages including daily activities, organized games or crafts, festivals, live music, races, on-site competitions, special food & beverage experiences, and other duties as assigned. This role aims to create a memorable vacation experience for all ages.


Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute an activity schedule created to reflect the resort's needs, with the activities, dates, and times to ensure the schedule appeals to guests of all ages.
  • Set-Up and Clean-Up for activities or crafts.
  • Communicate activities and events to resort guests.
  • Be familiar with Granby Ranch website and general information.
  • Use computer or tablet to take payments.
  • Maintain professional working relationships within Granby Ranch departments.
  • Obtain participant waivers for each activity as necessary.
  • Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Communicate information effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of local resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively assist operations departments in set up and tear down tasks.
  • Ability to coordinate and work for a common goal.
  • Demonstrate great communication skills and ability to give and take open and honest feedback.
  • Proactive work ethic for meeting deadlines.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • General computer skills required
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude to all guests and fellow employees.
  • Familiarity with the ski/bike resort industry.
  • Willing and able to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to solve problems and conflict in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner.
  • Have attention to detail and proper organization to ensure that guest expectations are met.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Activity experience a plus, such as sports or day camps.
  • Artistic abilities a plus.
  • Will train the right candidate.
  • Must be kid-friendly.
  • Experience with live music production a plus.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Indoor and outdoor work, outdoors is in a high alpine environment with variable, sometimes extreme weather conditions.
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Dexterity to use keyboard.
  • Requires working on weekends and on holidays throughout the year and some evenings and nights.
  • Hiking, Sitting, Standing, Walking, Bending, Carrying, Lifting, Reaching, Kneeling, possibly some skiing/snowboarding.
