The Role: The Digital Account Director will serve as the primary contact and ultimate point of accountability with R2i’s high profile clients. This role will own the relationship with the client and be accountable for overall client satisfaction. The Account Director will be responsible for understanding the business, the brand and marketing strategy, market landscape, and operational capabilities of the client. They will set the direction for the account, leading the cross-functional team to define optimal growth and retention strategies for the account across all of R2is capabilities. In addition, the Account Director will own the day-to-day relationship with the client including leading defining the client relationship map and interactions, leading key strategic meetings, leading delivery teams to develop strategies and capabilities, and be a respected advisor for the client on all aspects of their marketing and technology landscape.
The Account Director will lead cross-functional teams including but not limited to account managers and project managers, program and content strategists, channel experts such as SEO, digital and social media, software engineers, media buyers, data analysts, creative, and technical project managers. The Account Director will also be responsible for the overall revenue portfolio and profitability of the business working with key operations leaders such as sales, finance, and operations, to manage a healthy rhythm of the business and drive retention and growth. As a front-line leader, the Account Director will also be a key voice in the agency for refinement and development of emerging capabilities and operational process as indicated by changing client needs.
