About the role
As the Vice President of Engineering, you will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to our India engineering teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to drive the development and delivery of high-quality software products and solutions.
What You’ll Do
1. Technical Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership, mentorship, and guidance to multiple engineering teams, promoting best practices, continuous learning, and skill development.
- Lead technology strategy, making informed decisions about technology stacks, architecture, and development methodologies.
2. Innovation and Strategy:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the company's engineering vision and strategic goals in alignment with the global engineering strategy.
- Identify new opportunities for innovation and growth, exploring emerging technologies and industry trends.
3. Team Development:
- Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent, fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Develop and nurture a high-performing engineering culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and a passion for delivering excellence.
4. Product Delivery:
- Collaborate closely with product management to define and prioritize product roadmaps, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to release, ensuring effective project management and resource allocation.
5. Quality and Performance:
- Set and monitor engineering quality standards, promoting code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Drive optimization efforts for system performance, scalability, and reliability.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of engineering efforts with business objectives and customer needs.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across global engineering teams.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- 15 years of experience in software engineering, with 10 years of experience in engineering leadership roles.

- Proven track record of successfully leading and scaling engineering teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
