Description

  

Purpose: This position is responsible for creating, directing, and maintaining a high value, on premise, guest experience, through the leadership and management of the Front of House (FOH) & Back of House (BOH) Teams. 

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee and direct day to day operations onsite (averaging 40-45 hours/week)
  • Facilitation of strategic priorities, departmental goals, initiatives, and performance work objectives management, while seeking process improvements along the way for both FOH & BOH.
  • Ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources. Oversee staff scheduling, and temp labor use for FOH & BOH.
  • Oversee and report on budgeting and department finances, managing profitability & allocating resources.
  • Oversee inventory management for FOH & BOH. 
  • Manage staff hiring and performance; provide training/mentoring and facilitate professional development
  • Attract patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs; evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands.
  • Integration of Sales and Branding campaigns into the restaurant aesthetic and restaurant experience
  • Maintain high standards of food, service, health, and safety. Uphold legal requirements.
  • Upkeep and attention to care of equipment and arrangements for repairs, contracts, and other services
  • Active member of the FOH & BOH Team as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience/Skills:

  • Three years of team management and customer service experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and abilities. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all managers, employees, guests, and purveyors at all business volume levels.
  • High level interpersonal and mediation skills. Ability to deal with difficult situations and resolve matters appropriately and effectively
  • Thorough knowledge of all NBB brands, history, process, culture, and the beer industry
  • In depth knowledge of marketing/branding practices and procedures at NBB
  • In depth knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of financial statements
  • Advanced verbal & written communication and public speaking skills 
  • Thorough understanding of legal requirements for serving alcohol
  • Knowledgeable in brewing processes and NBB beers

Percent of Travel: 0-10%

Physical Requirements:

  • The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking.   
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to move and process information quickly.
  • Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.
