The new home of Central Nebraska news, CentralNebraskaTODAY.com is looking for a Grand Island based reporter.   

CentralNebraskaTODAY.com is a digital platform owned by NRG Media Central Nebraska which also owns and operates five market leading radio stations (107.7 The Island, Classic Rock 101.5, Y102, Hits 106 and KGFW-AM) based in both Grand Island and Kearney. 

Our Grand Island reporter will assist with increasing the amount of our news coverage of events in Grand Island and Hastings for our online news home CentralNebraskaTODAY.com.  This includes attending local events and covering breaking news stories as they arise.  You will be collecting and writing feature stories and publishing the news information from the area under the direction or our Editor/Director of Digital Content.  We want someone in this position who will bring story ideas to the table on a regular basis as well as covering regular events and breaking news.    

As our primary news reporter for Grand Island and Hastings, you must be proficient in writing stories for our news website, digital platforms, and for on-air use by our radio stations.  You will be visible in the community attending city council, county, and school board meetings and other community-focused events to create relationships with community leaders.  Due to coverage concerns the daily hours will be somewhat flexible.
