Partner Veterinary is looking for Neurology Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our Richmond, VA team!

To set you up for success from day 1, 

  • We gift you a *wellness week of PTO after 90 days in your position. This time off is 30-40 hours of PTO dependent upon your schedule. Partner Veterinary recognizes the demand that is on LVTs, and this wellness week allows you to rest and relax with a week off after your initial 90 days.

What does your day look like at Partner?

The Neurology Veterinary Technician’s emphasis is on day-to-day specialized patient care, and surgical workflows while maintaining optimal patient outcomes. The LVTs in the neurology department are integral to advanced imaging (MRI & CT) and elecrodiagnostics (electroencephalograms and electromyography). 


You will also refine your skills by learning anesthesia for craniotomies and imaging while mastering arterial catheter placement.  


You will practice sought after technical skills with all of the necessary resources to enable optimal patient outcomes, while regularly collaborating with other hospital departments.

Requirements
  • Minimum 1-year veterinary technician experience
  • Veterinary specialty experience is preferred, but not required
  • Graduate of accredited veterinary technology program; veterinary technician “in good standing” so applicant is or eligible to transfer registration to Virginia
  • Knowledge and dedication to high standard anesthesia and patient care practices
  • A curious and motivated energy 
  • Interest in collaborating with the teams across the Partner network 

Physical Requirements (ability to)

  • Quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients
  • Stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks
  • Lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
