What We Are Looking For

The Permitting Manager at Essentia will lead the permit acquisition process and manage the permitting aspects of fiber-to-the-home projects. This client-facing role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with a proven track record in obtaining permits and overseeing the successful execution of fiber-to-the-home projects. As a Permitting Manager, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery while maintaining compliance with regulations and client requirements.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Experience in permitting and project management for fiber-to-the-home projects is required.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal permitting regulations and processes. Preference will be given to candidates in Georgia and South Carolina.
• Proven experience in successfully obtaining permits and approvals for complex projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required with significant relevant experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Permit Acquisition: Research, identify, and obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals from local, state, and federal authorities for fiber-to-the-home projects.
• Project Oversight: Manage the end-to-end permitting process, from initial assessment to final approval, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, municipalities, utilities, and other stakeholders to maintain open communication and facilitate the permitting process.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with industry regulations, zoning codes, and permitting requirements to ensure projects adhere to legal and environmental standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of permits, approvals, correspondence, and project documentation. Prepare and submit necessary reports to clients and regulatory bodies.
• Risk Management: Identify potential permitting challenges and proactively develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays or obstacles.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve permitting issues, conflicts, and roadblocks that may arise during project execution.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process enhancements, best practices, and innovative approaches to optimize the permitting process and project outcomes.
