AdaptX is seeking a Vice President of Engineering. The VP of Engineering will lead the delivery of AdaptX's technology roadmap with passion and enthusiasm for our mission.  They will collaborate effectively in defining AdaptX’s product plans. They will develop and deliver innovative technologies with excellence, and partner closely with team members to bring our product vision to life. The VP of Engineering will have a proven track record of scaling teams, products, and solutions. They will foster a high-performance culture, support employee career growth, and promote accountability across our growing organization. They will also apply the rigor needed to build world-class, enterprise-scale software in a fast-paced, startup environment. 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Provide leadership and direct management for AdaptX’s Engineering teams
  • Attract, recruit, develop, and retain top technical talent
  • Deeply understand AdaptX’s technology strategy, and translate it into business results
  • Collaborate closely with key AdaptX leaders to inform and direct AdaptX’s product roadmap 
  • Ensure that AdaptX’s product strategy is realized through excellence in execution, bringing solutions to market on time and on budget
  • Deeply understand AdaptX’s customers and users
  • Empower and support AdaptX’s Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features reflecting internal and customer needs
  • Collaborate with other teams across the organization to drive business outcomes


Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex startup environment
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of progressive technical leadership experience or related experience
  • Demonstrated success managing software engineering teams and software development processes
  • Strong organizational leadership skills
  • Experience recruiting top engineering talent
  • Previous working experience in software design and developing customer-orientated platforms
  • Current and working knowledge of industry trends and best practices
  • Experience with team growth and change management
  • Ability to communicate (verbally, and in writing) in a clear and concise manner
  • Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve
  • Strong detail-orientation, with the curiosity and agility needed to support a fast-growing business
