 CMS is currently seeking POL Superintendents to support Department of Defense (DoD) construction projects. 

Requirements

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of DoD POL construction-related management experience within the last five (5) years
  • Three (3) consecutive years of on-site experience in the superintendent role within the last five (5) years
  • Experience must not include commercial or military service as POL or LFM/WFSM roles
  • Familiarity with piping and valve installation, mechanical repairs, tank construction or repair, MIL DTL 24441 coatings, API & SSPC inspections, and commissioning of POL systems preferred
  • Strong functional experience in tank inspection, cleaning, repair, and related piping systems is highly valued

Education and Certifications

  • Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or a high school diploma or GED with equivalent hands-on experience
  • Must have or be able to obtain the following certifications:
    • OSHA 30-Hour Training Certificate (valid within past 5 years)
    • Confined Space Competent Person Certificate
    • Current CPR & AED Certificate 
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to U.S. government facilities
  • This position does not require an active security clearance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to represent the company professionally in writing, in person, and verbally
  • Ability to make decisions and take ownership of outcomes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team to complete project goals
  • Understanding of construction scheduling, cost tracking, specifications, and general POL-related construction disciplines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise trade workers and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution
  • Responsible for onsite safety compliance
  • Plan and monitor work schedules, manpower, materials, and equipment requirements
  • Track work performance and productivity to ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and project requirements
  • Conduct and manage onsite meetings, schedule updates, and record meeting outcomes
  • Maintain daily project documentation such as tailgate meetings, production reports, and photo logs
  • Communicate any potential issues or delays to the Project Management team, and assist in resolution
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure materials, equipment, inspections, and tasks align with project timelines
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed
