2024 Summer Staff, Lead Coordinator
Description

$475/week. Free housing! Free meals! Unforgettable summer!

Our Lead Coordinators (LC’s) provide support for the Support Staff Coordinator and Summer Staff team members by helping plan and implement the Summer Staff Program. The LC’s serve Summer Staff through prayer, spending intentional time with them, and creating a community that fosters spiritual growth. LC’s assist Summer Staff Coordinators by planning and organizing fun weekly and monthly events, service projects, chapel services, and more. Two of their largest roles are Programming and Discipleship, which generally look like:

Program

- Plan, organize, and facilitate events for Summer Staff on and off-campus throughout the summer

- Assist Summer Staff Coordinators during large Summer Staff events

- Create intentional environments for Summer Staff to feel encouraged and supported

- Serve as a liaison between Summer Staff and Ridgecrest Leadership

Discipleship

- Lead a weekly Bible/Book Study or Prayer Time

- Pray for Summer Staff daily

- Organize and facilitate community service projects

- Be available for Summer Staff

Our LC hours are determined by need and event schedules. These individuals serve in areas around campus in order to deepen relationships with other Summer Staff members and aid in any needs for departments. Their job is, at times, a day-by-day schedule, and they must have time management skills in order to perform well. They are given a good bit of direction, but also a ton of creative freedom!

Requirements
  • Be on call 24/7 in the event of health/personal emergencies
  • Work alongside other summer staffers in various departments on campus (at least 12 hours per week) as assigned by Supervisor
  • Check in with Department Supervisors to learn about praises and concerns they have with Summer Staff
  • Post weekly information on the Staff Center information boards and social media
  • Keep Summer Staff Coordinators in the loop on any conflicts, concerns, or situations necessary
  • Ability to clearly communicate, expressing requirements and expectations to a wide range of individuals
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Possess a sincere desire to serve others with excellence and grace
  • Be flexible, teachable and hard-working
  • Demonstrate maturity
  • Ability to work long days, busy weekends, and be prepared to work hard both mentally and physically

Our Summer Staff are a dynamic team who have a genuine desire to come alongside Ridgecrest in our mission of Impacting Lives for God’s Glory. Summer Staff have the incredible opportunity to interact with and serve guests from all over the world from May-August. Our prayer is that our program is a life-changing experience. We want Summer Staff to experience God and encourage them as they grow in their relationship with Him, equip them with skills they will carry with them for years to come, and build a strong community among our team where they will meet lifelong friends. Here are a few things you will get to be a part of:

  • Weekly discipleship programs (Chapel, Community Group, Service Projects, etc.)
  • Planned events on campus (Sporting Events, All-Team Hangouts, Picnics, etc.)
  • Serving in a behind-the-scenes role around Ridgecrest

Staffers must have an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus, have great communication skills, and be self-motivated. There will be long/busy days and staffers should be prepared to work hard both mentally and physically. We offer an opportunity for those in the program to learn and develop skills that are useful in everyday life. Through training and hands-on experience, you have the opportunity to learn about leadership and the responsibilities that come with it.
