POSITION SUMMARY:
The Complimentary AM/PM Host/Hostess is responsible for preparing and serving the daily complimentary breakfast and/or afternoon snacks for hotel guests and compliance with food safety regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Providing personalized food service to all guests.
- Respond quickly to all guest requests in a caring, friendly and professional manner.
- Consistently follow up to ensure guest satisfaction that exceeds our service standards.
- Be aware of tone and composure when addressing guests and other Associates.
- Ensure that guests’ names are used throughout your interaction with them.
- Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day.
- Ordering or purchasing of food supplies.
- Preparing foods such as cut fruit, coffee and juices from concentrates following food safety regulations.
- Stocking coffee, juice and milk machines or dispensers.
- Setting out/arranging cold food, such as sweet rolls, muffins, cereal, cookies, snacks for self-service.
- Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
- Wiping up spills.
- Removing trash.
- Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed, pro-actively anticipating depletion and restocking immediately.
- Washing serving equipment and returning it to storage.
- Comply with federal, state, local and hotel food safety regulations.
- Returning reusable food supplies to storage.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1-2 staff members

- Dishwasher
- Ovens
- Knifes
- Refrigerators
- Warming units
Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Three months of related experience, or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS, AND CAPABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, coworkers, vendors and customers.
- Experience with food service a plus.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Stand for long periods of time.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to visually view kitchen area to ensure cleanliness.
- Must be able to anticipate restocking needs to ensure items are always available to guests.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Employees are expected to comply with existing safety procedures.
- The ability to work in close proximity with others comfortably, while multitasking in a fast paced environment.
- Working with heat, water and cleaning solvents.
- Hospitality environment requires polite, professional conduct and communication at all times.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule; days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

18.00-21.00 per hour based on experience
