Summary:

The fulfillment/sales associate is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and shipping customer online orders in a timely fashion. The fulfillment/sales associate is responsible for providing superior customer service and participating in all activities related to the ongoing operation and maintenance of a retail environment. Quality and productivity are crucial to meeting the customer’s expectations.


Duties / Essential Functions:

  • Perform duties of both a fulfillment associate and sales associate
  • Pull and pack merchandise from the sales floor and warehouse in a timely manner
  • Fulfill eCommerce orders by using pick tickets generated from the fulfillment system.
  • Maintain updated product knowledge and respond to customer inquiries
  • Operate fulfillment computer system to complete the shipping process
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve when necessary
  • Provide superior customer service when packing orders by packing neatly and accurately
  • Coordinate product exchanges, returns, ship errors, and freight claims
  • Stock and replenish merchandise in the warehouse
  • Generate sales of all product categories
  • Maintain knowledge of the sales floor and departments
  • Complete sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining the orderly appearance of the store and shipping area
  • Fill tanks and conduct inspections following company sponsored VIP training
  • Assist with customer service duties as needed, including responding to customer inquiries via telephone, email, and chat
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices
  • Other tasks as assigned by the General Manager or designee
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous fulfillment and customer service experience; six (6) months sales or related experience preferred
  • Certified Scuba Diver or Dive Instructor highly desirable. If not currently certified, must complete at least the academic requirements of a scuba course within the first 90 days of employment
  • A combination of education, certifications, and work experience may be qualifying
  • Overall understanding of personal computer operation
  • Ability to efficiently maintain a high level of accuracy and handle high volume workload in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be willing and able to work in a collaborative setting with a diverse group of internal and external customers and vendors
  • Ability to follow direction and demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as dictated by retail needs


Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires employee to work on his/her feet 100% of the time
  • Ability to bend and squat
  • Ability to life/carry 50+ pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Ability to access all areas of the store, shipping area, and warehouse
  • Ability to read and write in English, count, and do basic arithmetic
