Primary purpose: A federal client is expanding data modernization and automation activities within their organization. We are looking for a security expert to assess security concerns and provide recommendations to leadership on agency security requirements.  

A successful candidate will: 

• Provide recommendations around security requirements so server access is controlled, and sensitive data (including PII and PHI) remains secure 
• Audit events, identify security issues, and work with cross-functional teams to indicate the security controls needed 
• Provide frequent clear and concise report-outs to project and client leadership  
• Play an active, leadership-level role in facilitating security related discussions with stakeholders  

• Direct and relevant Federal Government Information Security experience  
• Current and active CISSP certification 
• Expert knowledge on NIST 800-53 Rev 4 and Rev 5, NIST 800-60, and other applicable NIST guidance 
• Fortify security scanning and result evaluation/resolution (both Static Code Analyzer and WebInspect) 
• Proficiency in system architecture, encryption, firewalls  
• Bachelor’s degree in related field  
• Ability to attain Public Trust Clearance  
• Excellent client facing communication and problem-solving skills  
• Ability to attain Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience working with Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)  
• Master’s degree in related field  
• Active Federal Public Trust or National Security Clearance
