Job   Summary:

Partner with Operations Leadership to make sure all functions of the warehouse are completed. Assign work to warehouse associates to make certain company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.       


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plan, assign and direct the work of warehouse associates within a designated area.
  • Report defective or damaged products and follow up with appropriate corrective action in a timely manner.
  • Manage warehouse associate responsibilities as needed including loading and unloading, forklift operation, product relocation, etc.
  • Maintain communication with the inbound and inventory team.
  • Coach and provide feedback to warehouse associates.
  • Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height.
  • Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment.
  • May choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) system.
  • Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities, types of products to be shipped, and the location of requested items in the wareouse.
  • Document and report damages and discrepancies to supervisors or leads.
  • May need to pack, seal, and label materials/pallets for shipping using Radio        Frequency (RF) scanning equipment to document and verify counts of picked items; otherwise, ensure all palletized stock is securely wrapped before placement on racks or transporting through the warehouse
  • Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
  • Monitor battery charge and leave material handling equipment at the designated storage area; may need to maintain. and clean batteries, depending on the site.
  • Alert the appropriate leader of any issues with the product or materials and await        directions to rectify the problem.
  • Help clean and organize the warehouse at the end or throughout the shift.
Requirements

      

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of        education and experience
  • 1+ year of experience in inventory control/warehousing/freezer.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Prior logistics and scheduling Knowledge.

· Effectively speak with groups of employees across the organization

· Ability to add, subtracts, multiply,   and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,   and decimals.
