Regional Director of Development - Full Time
Description


The Regional Director of Development helps to raise support for God’s work at Harvest by developing strong relationships with Major Donor partners/prospects and making meaningful fundraising appeals resulting in sustained and increasing generosity. This position requires a mature spiritual life, strong ability to relate well with others, communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing), be professional, creative, outgoing, highly organized, able to work independently, exercise discretion, serve with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Harvest’s culture, values, and mission. This position reports to the Chief Development Officer. 


Requirements
  • Effectively manage a portfolio of 100-125 Major Donors and Prospects through the development of strong relationships and meaningful appeals, resulting in sustained and increased giving. 
  • Continually pray for and with your assigned partners.
  • Meet monthly contact goals to ensure that partner relationships are growing stronger with Harvest’s vision. 
  • Make effective appeals each year resulting in large gifts and increased annual giving.
  • Be proficient in data analysis to effectively understand donor trends in your territory, how to maximize your territory’s generosity, and understand applicable donor reports. 
  • Manage fundraising efforts through a faith-based approach which focuses on personal prayer growth, reliance on the Holy Spirit, and ministry to partners.
  • Work collaboratively in a Christ-centered way with various departments to maximize organizational unity.
  • Effectively understand the mission and projects of Harvest to passionately communicate to partners in meaningful ways resulting in generous gifts. 
  • Record partner interaction in a timely fashion into our data system. 
  • Represent Harvest ministries professionally and positively to potential supporters and external sources. 
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among Donor Relations staff, supporters, and outside contacts. 
  • Attend regular team meetings to clarify goals and mobilize initiatives. 
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 
  • Physical requirements, with or without accommodations, include frequent travel, prolonged periods of studying/reading (book or electronic), repetitive motion keyboard typing, prolonged sitting, standing, and prolonged periods of looking at the computer screen. 
  • Promptly complete expense reports and other duties assigned.

  • Salary Range:  $80,000.00 - $110,000.00
