The Part-time Packaging Associate’s main responsibility is to fully support and contribute to the efforts of the Packaging Team as it executes the daily packaging needs and goals. This includes working on all facets of Packaging as needed: Bottling, Canning, and Kegging. This position will primarily be based at the Hardywood WestCreek facility, but with occasional shifts at the Hardywood Richmond facility as needed, primarily during canning runs. This position has an opportunity to gradually become more involved in the operation of the bottle line and all of its peripherals.
This part-time position is supervised by the Assistant Packaging Manager and the Packaging Manager.
Packaging of bottles coming off the conveyor belt
Ensure quality packaging of bottles, cans and kegs
Keg washing as needed
Load labels or bottles into bottling line
Taping of boxes once completely packaged
Wrapping and placing completed pallets into bonded inventory based on needs / preferences.
Inventory control as needed
Help in Brewery as needed
General cleaning of packaging and production area
Breaking down boxes and discarding of them as needed
Ability to lift a 160lb keg onto a pallet independently
Ability to lift and place 20lb cases of beer repeatedly
Must be able to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day
Must be flexible with regards to working schedule, based on packaging needs, and be available with potentially little to no advance warning, also working overtime as needed
Participate in safety and sanitation program
Other duties, functions, and special projects when necessary and as assigned.
