The Montclair Cooperative School is seeking substitute teachers for the 2025-2026 school year.  

About the School

The Montclair Cooperative School is an independent Early Ages through Eighth grade school founded in 1963 and located in Montclair, NJ. We have an enrollment of  approximately 130 students, a program that is progressive and a community that is highly collaborative. 

Qualifications

Substitute Teacher candidates should have past experience as a teacher, or working in a school setting, or in other programs with children such as camp or childcare.  The ideal candidate is positive, fun, flexible, open-minded, patient, with a good sense of humor, and a genuinely child-centered approach.  We are searching for substitute teachers who are self-starters and can lead a class with a given plan independently or in partnership with an assistant teacher.
