Job Summary

As a Corporate Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies across various channels. With a primary focus on media relations, social media, content creation, and internal communications, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our brand narrative, enhance our online presence, and maintain a positive and informed work environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and impactful communications that align with Exegy’s values and objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Media Relations
    • Manage and coordinate the activities of Exegy’s chosen public relations agency, ensuring alignment with strategic communication objectives
    • Enhance Executive visibility and speaking engagements by: 1) strategizing and executing plans to enhance the visibility of company Executives through targets speaking engagements and thought leadership opportunities, and 2) identifying and securing high-impact speaking opportunities at industry events, conferences, and seminars
    • Craft and refine compelling messaging and talking points that align with Exegy’s key objectives and resonate with various stakeholder groups
    • Foster and maintain positive relationships with key industry reporters, editors, and media professionals to drive favorable media coverage
  • Social Media
    • Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance our brand’s online presence, drive engagement, and expand out follower base
    • Create compelling and relevant content for social media platforms, while adhering to brand guidelines
    • Monitor social media trends, engagement metrics, and industry best practices to continually improve social media performance and adapt to strategies accordingly
  • Internal Communications
    • Plan, develop, and implement internal communications strategies that foster employee engagement, alignment with company goals, and a positive company culture
    • Coordinate and distribute internal announcements, newsletters, and updates to keep employees informed and motivated
  • Content Creation
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and executives to gather information and ensure accurate and compelling messaging
    • Spearhead the development of thought leadership content that reinforces our brand as experts in the industry
    • Ensure a consistent and timely cadence of content creation aligned with our brand, values and industry trends
  • Crisis Communication
    • Assist in developing crisis communication plans and protocols, and act as a point of contact for media inquiries during crisis

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5-7 years of proven experience in corporate communications, with a specific focus on social media, website content, and internal communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of the capital markets and/or enterprise technology industry is an advantage
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and channels
  • Demonstrated experience creating engaging content for various social media platforms and implementing successful social media campaigns
  • Experience managing and updated corporate websites using content management systems (CMS) and basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools to track website performance and social media analytics tools to measure campaign success
  • Self-starter who can work autonomously and is excited to test out new ideas
  • Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
