The manager web content is responsible for web content production, including publishing, analyzing and optimizing all NRF digital content. This role manages digital content architecture and evergreen content strategy for nrf.com.
The ideal candidate has a knack for combining analytical insights with creativity to make great content come alive online. They have a strong attention to detail, a passion for testing and learning and a clear-eyed focus on the user.
•Publishes and updates content for NRF’s websites based on content strategies and editorial calendar
•Develops an ongoing strategy for ensuring all website content is current, consistent, audience-appropriate, accurate, visually engaging, and cross-promoted in a relevant manner
•Analyzes and optimizes content using Google Analytics, BrightEdge, Buzz Sumo and other analytics tools
•Develops internal reports and presents findings on effectiveness of website, campaigns and key content
•Partners with internal divisions on initiatives and programs to develop clear and concise web content
•Collaborates with IT on redesigns and website design/UX updates, serving as communication’s lead on these projects
•Trains internal staff on performing web updates
•Stays current on the latest technologies and best practices in digital content strategy, including SEO and user experience
•Performs other duties as assigned
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing or related field
•Minimum four years’ professional experience in communications, marketing or related field
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a strong attention to detail
•Analytical skills, able to use data and creativity in approach to making content decisions
•Experience with Drupal and Google Analytics, with basic understanding of HTML Search Engine
•Optimization and Web analytics
•Strong understanding of internet and content best practices and standards
•Creative and thoughtful on how new media technologies can be utilized
•Possesses a passion for testing and learning and has a clear-eyed focus on the user
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
•Must be energetic and have a strong inclination for individual initiative and strong attention to detail
•High level of professionalism and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
•Ability to thrive in a team environment
•Some travel required
