Description

Assist our Information Technology team by providing hardware and software support for the organization.

DUTIES

  • Cover basic helpdesk duties as well as increasing levels (as appropriate) of network and server support/installation.
  • Assist with all hardware/software issues.
  • Maintain printers/copiers.
  • Maintain audio/visual systems.

Participates and provides input on various Association-wide activities:

  • Actively contributes toward efforts to achieve our culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
  • Provides on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
  • Participates on internal event teams and task committees.
  • Participates in Association events, including but not limited to Aggie Muster, Aggie Ring Day, Reunions, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Pass It Back Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, and All-Aggie Hullabaloo, as needed.

Serves as an ambassador for The Association:

  • Meet our Team Expectations.
  • Support The Association’s marketing, communications, and branding initiatives.
  • Foster relationships with students, former students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of Texas A&M.
  • Attend external events on behalf of The Association, as directed.

Requirements

EDUCATION

Required: Current student at Texas A&M University or Blinn. Must have more than one semester remaining before graduation.

Preferred: Student majoring in computer-related field.


EXPERIENCE

Required: Requires experience with Windows PCs, computer peripherals such as printers, scanners, phones, etc., mobile devices, Microsoft Office suite of applications, and basic network troubleshooting.

Preferred: Network/security theory, AV equipment, advanced technical troubleshooting techniques.


SKILLS

Required: Must have strong writing skills, along with friendly, customer-focused attitude and be organized and detail-oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, and can maintain security of both technical equipment and information at all times. Ability to adapt to emerging technologies.

Preferred: Programming skills a plus.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Required: Ability to operate a keyboard. Frequent use of a computer monitor is required.


This is a part-time position. Employees must commit to work at least 15-20 hours per week during business hours (M-F 8-5).
