Springfield Plastics, Inc. is seeking an Factory Janitor to carry out cleaning duties inside our manufacturing facility located in Auburn, IL.

Responsibilities

• clean designated production areas
• refill supplies in designated production areas
• removing dust and debris from machinery
• sweep production areas with push broom and shop vacuum
• mopping and using floor scrubber throughout production areas
• replacing filters throughout production facility
• emptying trash receptacles and debris pans
• perform and document routine inspection
• perform heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
• stock and maintain supply rooms
• cooperate with the rest of the staff
• follow all health and safety regulations
• other duties as assigned

• proven working experience
• ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• integrity and ability to work independently
• high school diploma or equivalent
• valid driver's license
• complete tasks at a fast pace
• follow detailed instructions
• lift up to 75 pounds above the head on a repetitive basis
• make attendance a top priority
• perform fine manipulation with hands and fingers for up to 12 consecutive hours
• push, pull, squat, bend, stretch and crawl for up to 12 consecutive hours
• walk and/or stand for up to 12 consecutive hours
• complete repetitive motions with hands, arms, feet, legs, shoulders and back for up to 12 consecutive hours
• tolerate high temperatures while working indoors
• mandatory overtime/holdovers possible during heavy production
• mandatory Saturdays possible during heavy production
• team player
