JOB SUMMARY


The primary function of Order Generation/Estimation (OGE) is to support the selling process by preparing Cabinetry layouts and quotes for the PM / Sales Staff.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receiving customers and their inquiries/calls and directing them accordingly
  • Pricing/Quoting jobs per drawings from sales representative
  • Preparing all necessary paperwork for a complete order
  • Preparing installation packages
  • Supporting project managers and service technicians with inquiries, tracking materials/specs, and gathering customer specifications and selections
  • Process and track parts to finish orders
  • Making revisions to initial drawings and designs from sales representative
  • Coordinating with installation scheduler to pre-schedule parts
  • Coordinating with installer to confirm completion of delivery/missing parts
  • Track and process Job Completion Certificates
  • Assisting with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, as directed
  • Assisting with scheduling, as directed
  • Estimating and 20/20 design


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Formal technical design training from trade school or program; degree in design, business or related field, relevant experience preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in kitchen layout and design
  • Experienced with 20/20 Design and/or Auto CAD 
  • Knowledge of Cabinetry selling process and bid preparation.
  • Able to read and interpret construction building blueprints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Technical aptitude and ability to understand the Remodel and New Home construction business.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and organization skills 
  • Ability to read, and interpret common business documents including technical reports, charts, graphs, and diagrams. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers/clients, members of the business community and public. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret graphs and diagrams.

Salary Description
$19-$22/hr
