Our Teachers’ Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Strategies and Behaviors: Communicating learning goals and feedback, establishing rules and procedures; helping students interact, practice and deepen new knowledge, and generate and test hypotheses; engaging students; recognizing adherence to norms and procedures; establishing and maintaining effective relationships with students; communicating high expectations for all students. Creating and maintaining a classroom environment aligned with “Love and Logic” Principles.
  • Serving as Leadership, Finance, Entrepreneurship (LiFE) Coach: Executing engaging lessons daily, evaluating lesson efficacy, integrating LiFE themes into the core curriculum, and leading impactful programs to develop strong Leadership, Finance, and Entrepreneurship skills in students. Ensuring effective scaffolding of learning, practice, and mastery of these skills in themselves and their students.
  • Planning and Preparing: Planning and preparing for lessons and units, resources and technology, needs of neurodiverse learners and differentiated learning styles, implementation of culturally responsive classrooms.
  • Developing and Maintaining Strong, Positive and Productive Partnerships: Communicating proactively, positively and consistently with students, parents, teammates, and our community, fostering a collaborative and supportive community.
  • Reflecting on Teaching: Evaluating personal performance as well as developing and implementing a professional growth plan.
  • Collegiality and Professionalism: Champion a positive environment; promoting an exchange of ideas and strategies;promoting our school and its community’s development.

Salary Range: Starting annual salary $46,758 to $77,528 (based on education & experience step and ladder, max 9 years teaching experience credit)

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree. Master's degree preferred.
  • Preferred: Teaching certification
  • 3-5 years classroom experience.
  • Evidence of content mastery.
  • A passion for Next Generation learning.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to igniting curiosity, and making learning fun and challenging.
  • Proficient use of computer software, Google and learning management systems (Blackbaud preferred).
  • Grant permission for a criminal background check upon hire.
  • Meet physical demands to perform essential functions of the role.
