As a dishwasher at Mustard Seed Market and Cafe, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Dishwashing: Operating commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensuring that all items are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use by kitchen and service staff.
2. Handwashing: Hand washing dishes, pots, and pans as needed, paying close attention to stubborn food residues and grease to ensure thorough cleaning.
3. Sorting and Storing: Sorting and organizing clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated storage areas according to type and use. Ensuring that items are stored safely and are easily accessible for kitchen staff.
4. Cleaning: Assisting with general cleaning tasks in the kitchen and dishwashing area, including wiping down countertops, sweeping and mopping floors, and emptying trash bins to maintain a sanitary and orderly work environment.
5. Support: Supporting kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, such as food preparation, stocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas.
6. Compliance: Adhering to all health and safety regulations and Mustard Seed Market and Cafe's sanitation procedures. Following proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a hygienic work environment.
7. Communication: Effectively communicating with kitchen staff and management regarding inventory levels, equipment maintenance issues, and any concerns related to cleanliness and sanitation.
8. Efficiency: Working efficiently to keep up with the pace of the kitchen during peak hours, ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils for food preparation and service.

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
