The position of the grant writer works under the guidance of the Chief Development Officer, with additional support from the development manager. The grant writer is responsible for all aspects of grant development, management, documentation and reporting; prospect research, cultivation and proposal development; compiling statistical data; financial analysis and budget development. The grant writer will regularly attend award ceremonies and check presentations, along with required grant and training workshops held by funders. The grant writer will be responsible for achieving the annual monetary goals set for funding generated through grants. Complete special Foundation projects as assigned. Must be able to adhere to firm deadlines and short turnarounds in a fast-paced work environment with little daily supervision.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in related field with a minimum of two years experience in grant writing, research reportin, evaluation and processing management. Basic knowledge of statistics and statistical applications. Experience with computer systems, ability to understand and operate various related software necessary to carry out job functions.
