Toyon is seeking an entry or intermediate level Web Application Developer to design, code, and test a custom intranet application used by government clients. This position will interact with Toyon’s engineering team and government clients in the process of taking projects from initial requirements to deployment on production systems. The successful candidate will be able to participate in the development and analysis of stakeholder business requirements, creation of mockups, wireframes and prototypes, and the process of software testing, debugging, and creation of design documentation. This position is a great fit for an individual with a strong foundation in Web Application technologies who is ready to take on more responsibilities, supporting personal career growth as well as contributing to the success of Toyon's projects.
Job assignments include a range of office and on-site work to define and implement government-approved upgrades. Remote work is not allowed. In addition to software design and implementation, the candidate must participate in and develop materials for group presentations, software demonstrations, and organized training classes.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and ambitions:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, specializing in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline
- Must have at least two years' experience in web-based product development
- Good understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Familiarity with RESTful architecture, structured text formats such as JSON and XML, and basic understanding of the HTTP protocol
- Experience with version control systems such as Git

The annual pay range for the Web Application Developer position is $90,000 to $140,000.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidate’s education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
